Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Seeks Membership Sales Director
The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) seeks experienced candidates to fill the position of Membership Sales Director, effective immediately. The Chamber is a membership organization of 1200 companies with over 70,000 employees that works to build prosperity in the community through business to business networking opportunities, advocacy, training and development for employees and information that enhance the business climate for members.
The membership Sales Director has full responsibility for developing prospects and closing the sale for both membership and advertising in Chamber publications. This position works closely with other Chamber staff to develop sales materials, identify benefits/value in membership and match prospect needs with Chamber programs and services. It is important that this position participate fully in chamber events and activities to fully understand the breadth of Chamber offerings.
The ideal candidate has outside sales experience, is a self motivated and has high energy with a Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing or other commensurate experience and degree combination. Candidates must be proficient in Office 2007 and have experience working with database programs.
